Product introduction

The parallel groove clamp (PG Clamp) is a versatile component designed for use as either an oblique tap or a parallel connector, facilitating the connection of two conductors in parallel. It is particularly essential for securing transmission conductors in parallel within transmission lines.

FERR Parallel Groove Clamps are ideal for non-tension electrical connections between paired conductors. They are available in both single and double bolt configurations and can be equipped with optional insulation covers for additional protection.

Constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy bolts, these clamps are engineered to maintain consistent contact pressure across varying temperature cycles, ensuring durable performance.

The rotational tightening methods—396.6, 395.5, and 490.0—offer precise torque control during installation, contributing to secure and accurate connections.

One of the standout features of the parallel groove clamp is its straightforward installation process, complemented by a simple structure and bolt-based power connector, making it a uniquely dependable product. To ensure reliable tightening, a spring washer and pressure pad are integrated beneath the bolt head.

The clamp comprises two primary sections: the upper and lower regions, each featuring parallel grooves designed to accommodate aluminum connectors made from high-strength aluminum. In the case of bimetallic clamps, the copper connector is crafted from high-strength electrolytic copper for enhanced compatibility and performance.
