Product introduction
No-Wrench Screw Anchor, also known as helical soil anchors, are soil anchors used to provide support by securing wires or cables inside utility poles. Its construction consists of a forged eye, a tangential tip, and a welded helix.
FERR’s No-Wrench Screw Anchor is ideal for light utility installations and temporary anchoring. It can be installed manually without power tools, is portable, and flexible in deployment compared to traditional equipment.
The three-eye and thimble-eye anchors are designed to include a large opening to support the swivel bar, which ensures the anchor is screwed securely into the ground. During installation, the wrenchless screw anchors can be screwed into the ground mechanically or manually, and an extension bar is used to ensure that they reach a solid layer of soil to provide reliable support.
In addition, the anchor eyelets are compatible with gouge adapters, so they can also be operated with power tools during installation. These anchors are particularly suitable for loose to moderately dense soil conditions. Upon completion of the installation, the exposed portion should remain 8 to 12 inches above ground level to ensure adequate external support.
It should be noted that if wrenchless anchors are installed by hand, their anchoring capacity may be reduced by approximately 10 to 20%. Additionally, the installation angle needs to be strictly oriented at 5° to the anchor block, or the strength may be significantly reduced. Please note that the rated load capacity only applies to anchors installed correctly and that irregularities may result in a significant reduction in performance.
